I DON'T CARE!!

Just so you know, I don't care how cute your boyfriend is. I don't care that he has six pack abs. I don't care what kind of car he drives or that his friend just traded his really nice car in for another nice car. There are people who don't have enough to eat and Americans are concerned with what kind of car is going to tote their ass around. I don't care that you skip class class to stay in bed all day and have sex (I'm paying a lot for my classes and actually like going to them). I don't care how much you're going to make after you graduate, money doesn't always buy happiness. I am also sorry. I'm sorry my major isn't as "hard" as yours. Hard is in quotation marks because hard is relative. I'm glad that you think you could read a 250 page novel in a week (on top of all your other class work) and then go to class and have an intelligent discussion over it. I'm sorry that I think it is difficult to write a 12 page paper. I'm happy that you wrote a 15 page paper in 2 hours. Really, I am, but why don't you get back to me when you have to write a paper that isn't just regurgitating research back onto the page. Actually, come to think of it, I'm not sorry. And I still don't care.

If it seems like it has been years since my last entry, you are correct! I haven't had an entry on here since August, although I have made a few entries on my myspace blog. Anyway, I just thought I'd tell everyone about my week last week. It was mostly terrible! On Monday as I was leaving my house to go take a Bio exam, my pants ripped. I'm not even kidding, they ripped like something out of the movies. To top that off, I was so flustered going into the exam that I locked my keys in my car. I can normally open my car when something like that happens, but it had started sleeting and I wasn't about to deal with it, so I called a locksmith. Tuesday wasn't bad, however, I spent about three hours cleaning my house. Wednesday was awesome. Darren came to visit for Valentine's Day and we went to dinner and hung out. It was a lot of fun; I wish he could come to Manhattan more often. Thursday wasn't bad, I went to KC to see Darren. Darren had a debate tournament so I left him at the school to do some work and I went to run errands. I stopped at Borders to get a gift for Adrian, one of Darren's friends. As I was walking to my car, I slipped and fell spilling the coffee that I had just bought. The debate team had decided to go to Lawrence early because of the weather, so I met them at KCKCC, I was following them with Darren's car. We get to Lawrence and I can see the exit, we are not more than 200 feet from it. I spun out and hit the median wall, I ended up on I-70 West facing East. Talk about the perfect end to an already mostly shitty week! For the most part my weekend wasn't too terrible, just the week. I am hoping this week is better, Darren and I are leaving for Tennessee Tuesday night! I am very excited. Perhaps my next entry will be about my trip.

Back at school at last!

So it's been a month and a half since my last entry. I'm not really sorry, I've been kinda busy. I'll give a brief recap of my summer:

--I worked an average of 40 hours a week. Not much to some, but when it's serving food/drink to jerks, it takes a lot out of you.

--I turned 21 on June 20. Pretty much every Wednesday/Friday night after that was spent getting drunk with some of the following: Brad/Rachel/Anthony/Brian/Josh and other various people from work.

--I played with  Kasie(the Noodle) as much as I possibly could. She's crawling all over the place now!

--Hanging out with Brian whenever we both had time.

That about sums it up...nothing too interesting. I'm glad that classes start tomorrow and I can get into a routine. I need to keep busy so I'm not tempted to go to bars or drink a lot. I'm shooting for a 4.0 this semester and I need to join some clubs or something. I'm also working at Jimmy John's on Friday and Saturday nights 10p-close, so that should keep me out of trouble.

This is the "Trivia Crowd". We played trivia every Wednesday night. From left-Anthony, Brian, Josh, Brad, and me.

My niece, Kasie, on a rocking horse that I bought for her.

More later. Ashley

So it's been forever since my last entry. SORRY!! It isn't that I've been busy, I think I've just lost interest in my Xanga:( Actually, I've had a lot going on and I need to keep it in my head..maybe...not really sure. More to follow...

It's been forever since my last entry!! I've been very busy. David came to visit a few weeks ago; it was so much fun showing him around KC. He started his internship today and I hope it goes well for him. I've been working a ton and it's really been stressing me out. People just don't know how to tip!! If you can't afford to tip well, don't eat out!!! Grrr...On the upside, I went shopping for my new house today!! I am so excited about moving in. Less than 2 months!!
